Happy Thanksgiving!

I love Thanksgiving! It’s full of family, friends, yummy food, and lots of memories. J

One of my favorite things to do is cook/bake. It’s something I’ve enjoyed as long as I can remember. For the last several years my Thanksgiving assignment has been desserts. Since desserts have been my contribution lately I like to make sure I’m bringing something new every year.

This year I’ll be whipping up some Pecan Bars, Caramel Stuff Pumpkin Cookies, and Pumpkin Cheesecake with Salted Caramel Sauce. {My mouth is watering as I type.}

I chose these desserts because they sound delicious, but they are also relatively easy to make and since we have two Thanksgiving dinners to attend on Thanksgiving Day I have to make double the desserts. So, I wanted something simple, that wouldn’t take up too much time away from my boys, and wouldn't have me on my feet for hours.

Last night I prepped the cookie dough for the Caramel Stuff Pumpkin Cookies because it needs to be refrigerated at least 2 hours or overnight. Tonight, I’ll finish off the rest of the desserts with Netflix playing some sort of Christmas movie in front of me and a cup of decaf with peppermint mocha creamer steaming at my side. I can’t wait.

Then as Thanksgiving Day comes to an end, this huge fan of Christmas can officially start the countdown!
From our family to yours; we pray you have a wonderful Thanksgiving Holiday.
