Deck the Halls
Deck
the halls with boughs of holly. Ok, well not holly, but decorations!
There
is no delay in me getting the house all decorated for Christmas once
Thanksgiving has passed and I have my freshly cut Fraser Fir. I may have had a
hard time keeping my eyes open and I may have been so sick that I was so achy
that it hurt to put the ornaments on the tree, BUT…that doesn’t stop this
Christmas admirer.
This
is the first year in our new home so I had a lot to envision before putting up
the decorations. I knew what I had, but I didn’t know where to put it all.
After I got everything up I realized that I had a lot more space and several
more rooms I needed decorations for. I know that as the years pass I will accumulate
more of a collection, but for this year I’m happy with things being simple.
Even
though I love decorating for Christmas, I’m not a huge fan of over decorating.
I like to keep things as simple and classy as possible. Our tree remains a
simple color scheme of red and green. Each year we buy an ornament from Cracker Barrel (another tradition) and we add it to the tree. Last year we let Mason
pick out the ornament. I’m sure in looking at the pictures you can figure out
which one he pick {sock monkey}. I’m sure this year we’ll let him pick it out
again.
I
put a few pictures up of some of the decorating I did. Nothing to grand by any
means, but enough to make my home feel like Christmas is in the air.
xoxo,
Krista
