30 Days of Thankfulness: Day 30 My Husband
I saved the
best for last. I am thankful for my incredible hubby! (Did you think I
forgot about you baby love?)
I don’t know
where I’d be in life without this man I call my best friend and husband. He is everything
to me and I know there are more days than not (when crazy hormonal Krista comes
out) that I don’t deserve him.
Jordan is a tad
bit younger than me {insert cougar jokes} and he decided one day that he had
feelings for me and ran after them. He pursued me until I finally gave in and
spent some time with him. It didn't take long before I was head over heels in
love with this charmer. April 9, 2004 I told him “I think I more than like you”
and he responded with “I love you too”. The rest is history!
We dated 4
years before Jordan popped the question and I, of course, without any
hesitation said yes. He had planned the perfect proposal too. I’ll have to
share more of those details in another post where I brag about my amazing
hubby. ;)
May 31, 2008 we
tied the knot and became one. It was one of the happiest days of my life! I
knew my prince charming would always be there to sweep me off my feet and I
knew I was a lucky girl.
Jordan and I
have a firm foundation built in Christ and I believe that it is what enables us
to have a successful marriage. There are bumps and sometimes mountains we have
to overcome, like any marriage, but we always get through them and we get
through them hand in hand, side by side.
He is one of
the most patient guys I have ever met. He has to be to put up with me. Let just
be honest here. Ha! He’s got a heart of gold and he’d do anything for anybody that
needed him.
He’s an
incredible father to Mason which makes me fall even more in love with him. He’s
so good with him and he plays just like a kid with Mason. It’s adorable to see.
I am truly the
luckiest.
You
have my heart and I love you more than words or actions will ever be able to
show. I am so thankful for my life with you. You mean the world to me. I couldn’t
have asked for a better man to call my husband, to call my best friend, to call
a father to my children, and to spend the rest of my life with. I’m enjoying
this journey we call life and I’m looking forward to growing old and wrinkly
{you wrinkly, not me} with you. Thank you for loving me the way you do. No one
could do it better.
xoxo,
Krista
Love. This was beautiful.
