30 Days of Thankfulness: Day 2 Talented Friends

I’m thankful to be surrounded by friends with talents in several different areas. Their talents encourage me, inspire me, challenge me, and give me the desire to use all my talents.

Today I want to spotlight one particularly talented friend. I have had the honor of knowing Joanna Beasley for a while now. She is beautiful, talented, and such a wonderful friend to me.

Joanna released her debut album “My World” in August of 2005 at the age of 19, just 3 years after advancing to the final 80 contestants in Fox’s hit show American Idol. Touring with her first album she shared the stage with many of today’s well-known Christian artists, such as Michael W. Smith, Jeremy Camp, Mercy Me, Chris Tomlin, Natalie Grant, Aaron Shust, and many more. I am so proud of all she has accomplished. She is incredibly talented and such a hard worker.

She is currently working on releasing her 1st worship album, “Loud Love””. As an independent artist everything she does financially is her full responsibility. In order to move forward and complete the record she needs some help from you. Every single dollar helps and will go toward the project.

Albums of this caliber can easily cost a label up to one hundred thousand dollars, but as an independent artist here's what your dollars will go towards paying for: producer, engineer, studio, musicians, mixing, mastering, licensing, printing, graphics, photos, and website. That's just the bare minimum which totals $24,000.

On top of that she still has to pay for promotions, travel expenses, tours, marketing, distribution, legal work, radio, and more! Anything over their goal will be used for this..

Joanna and her team have come up with some sweet rewards for those of you willing to contribute that you can check out by visiting her Kickstarter page.

Please consider joining Joanna in her goal to release her first worship album.

As a friend it’s a blessing to support my talented friends; I encourage you to do the same thing. And get out and use YOUR talents! They were given to you for a reason. ;)

xoxo,
Krista
